Business vs Study, Expectation vs Reality!
Hi,
actually ni first post for my new blog. I used to had one but dah lama tak buka so i deleted that and make a new one haha. So, before we begin into a serious talk, let me introduce myself. My name is Faizah Irdina, sekarang tengah belajar degree in accounting, Universiti Sains Malaysia.
Well, i am currently a student and also an entrepreneur(maybe). My boyfriend and I, we decided untuk buka sebuah kedai, a small one, dibawah kelolaan pihak universiti, called Gen-Y Incubator Program. Melalui program ni, kami dapat la sebuah shoplot lebih kurang 12x12, I'll show u guys a picture when I get one. We started in August 2017, and before I get the keys to the shoplot, saya selalu berangan yang harini saya buka kedai dan pelanggan akan datang dan saya akan untung besar, yeayyyy. However, it was not as easy as it seems. Even until now November 2017, we are still struggling to get sales and profit.
I think I spend almost RM2000-RM3000 for the shop, beli stok peralatan kedai dan sebagainya. My boyfriend also spent a lot of money when he bought a 3D printer for our shop. Oh btw, kami jual barangan robotik contohnya arduino board, sensor module dan sebagainya, kalau taktau boleh google or I'll share with u guys later about what we sell. I bukan asal orang kaya, my parents made around RM4000-RM4500 per month and I have a sister still doing diploma. I am taking PTPTN loan and i got around RM2000 after paying my university that costs me around RM1000+ per semester.
So, I used all my loan for that semester including some of my savings to open the shop, but I havent gain any profit yet until now, ko rasaaaa???
I am so frustrated because I dont have money to eat and had to ask some money from my parents which make me feel so bad because I shouldnt be a burden to them anymore. I dah lama tak pergi enjoy, buy myself some cloths or shoes or bags etc.
So, while I was thinking what did I do wrong in this business and how am I gonna change this to make it successful, it come to my senses that expectation and reality is not the same! That is the reason I created this blog, I want u guys to know exactly how risky it is in business. So, sebelum u fikir nak buat bisnes untuk ringankan beban u, plan dulu betul-betul apa yang u nak buat. So that when u invest your money, its not gonna be a waste.
However, I am not gonna giveup! Walaupun dah agak lama menunggu, hampir 8 bulan dah since we started, I will try to find the best solutions, Insya Allah.
